...but I don't get this sub-headline. Granted I'm not a great linguist, but how is it getting late early for Florida? Is there now a separate time zone for senior citizens?

"It is getting late early again"
ReplyDeleteWhen a team under the playoff cutoff is getting to the point where things look dire and desperate then "it is getting late". When a team largely sucks and gets to that point too soon in the season then "it is getting late early". When this happens frequntly then "it is getting late early again". Wen this happens too often the GM is fired.
"It is getting late early again" Maybe Yahoo just needs to beat the monkeys that type up their stuff a little harder.
ReplyDelete"It was the best of times, it was the BLURST?!"
i think you garnered enough buzz to make Yahoo change it as it now reads:
ReplyDelete"The heat is on Florida GM and coach Jacques Martin as the Panthers' season hangs in the balance. "
"Well, I suppose I should be getting to bed. It's awfully late."
ReplyDelete"But Grandpa, it's only 7 o'clock1"
